I’ve always been a big fan of fresh starts, but I have to admit I’ve never been great at setting big goals for the “new year”. Over the last five years, January has been a tough month: full of university exams, stress, and sleepless nights. Honestly, it always seemed like the worst time to make any big changes or start new projects. January, for me, was all about “survival mode”, trying to make it through without failing classes.
That’s why I adopted a different practice: New Year’s resolutions in February. Yes, it might sound strange, but this strategy ended up working much better for me.
This year, however, there are no exams (finally!), and to celebrate my first stress-free January since 2016, I decided to create this blog. A space where I can share ideas, reflections, and, of course, my personal challenges.
Here are my two main focuses for the upcoming months:
- Punctuality: Yes, it’s a problem. A serious one! Everyone who knows me is well aware that punctuality is not my strong suit, but that’s going to change. This year, I’m making an effort to manage my time better and finally say goodbye to the infamous “arriving 5 minutes late”. Trust me, I’m committed!
- Creativity: Another goal I have with this blog is to challenge myself to be more creative. For a long time, I felt like my creative side was dormant, and I want to wake it up by experimenting with new ways to express ideas and find inspiration. The blog was born with this very purpose: to be a continuous exercise in creativity.
That’s all for now. Thank you for being here, and I hope you enjoy what’s to come. If you’ve also started your resolutions late or if you tend to procrastinate, share your experience with me in the comments! Let’s talk about it!
P.S. For all the justified text lovers out there, sorry… I’m trying to keep things a bit more free-flowing here.
